Harley Hymes ’17
As a West Virginia native from Petersburg, West Virginia, I came to WVU with hopes of broadening my horizons in general and learning to effectively communicate with folks from all walks of life. I got that from Phi Psi, and more. As a member of the “re-founding” class of Fall 2017, I was excited to see all the opportunities that West Virginia Alpha and Phi Kappa Psi had to aid young men and mold them into gentlemen.
I accepted my bid in the spring of 2017 and quickly found that I was a part of something much bigger than myself. I learned that everyone wanted to do better and succeed in life, and that is what made me stay along for the ride and opened the door to becoming the gentleman I am now. I still admire how the brotherhood always has a lending hand in helping those in need, and internally we look out for one another – like a true brotherhood should.
I am currently the Chapter Advisor for West Virginia Alpha and work for Northgrop Grumman Corporation in Supply Chain. In my free time I enjoy Hunting/Fishing, outdoor activities, and writing music. I am excited to see what the new brothers of West Virginia Alpha are going to achieve, and to be in a role which will see it all first-hand.
