This spring semester has been a strong and exciting period of growth for our chapter. We were proud to welcome eight new members, each of whom has already begun contributing to the strength of our Brotherhood. Across the board, our brothers have continued to excel academically, grow personally, and develop professionally, all while embracing the college experience and upholding the values that define Phi Kappa Psi.
Our involvement on campus remained high throughout the semester, including active participation in Greek Week, where our brothers represented the Chapter with energy, competitiveness, and unity. In addition, we introduced the MAP (Wineman Mentoring Advantage Program) for Ohio University, a new initiative designed to support our members’ long-term success. Through this program, brothers are paired with mentors who provide guidance on career exploration, networking, and balancing the demands of academics, social life, and personal development. Early feedback has been extremely positive, and we are excited to continue growing this program in the semesters ahead.
One of the highlights of the semester was our event with BBI Logistics. Brothers had the opportunity to connect directly with the company’s leadership, including the CEO, while networking in a professional yet engaging setting. The experience was both enjoyable and highly beneficial, and we are excited to announce that three internship opportunities in sales will be made available to our Chapter as a result of this partnership.
Spring break provided a well-earned opportunity for our members to recharge. Brothers traveled to a variety of destinations, including a sophomore group trip to Punta Cana and several trips throughout Florida by our upperclassmen. These experiences further strengthened the bonds within our Chapter and created lasting memories.
We recently concluded a successful philanthropy week, highlighted by the Phi Psi 500, where we focused on giving back to the Athens community. This year, we transitioned from supporting national organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of America and the Ronald McDonald House to partnering with the Love Light Movement. This organization is dedicated to supporting families in Athens who are experiencing poverty and food insecurity. Through our efforts, including fundraising and meal preparation, we were able to directly contribute to feeding local families and members of the homeless community.
Overall, our Chapter is in an incredibly strong position. The momentum we have built this spring has laid a solid foundation for continued success, and we are confident in our ability to carry this energy into the fall. We are proud to be part of something special at Ohio University and look forward to what lies ahead.
