Another academic year has come to an end, and I’m pleased to report that the chapter house remains in excellent condition. All 35 residents have moved out for the summer, and we are excited to share that the facility will once again be at full capacity next year with 35 brothers calling the house home. Thanks to the efforts of our undergraduate members and House Director, we experienced only minimal damage and maintenance issues throughout the year.
One of the highlights of the past year has been the continued leadership of our House Director, Chuck Sipps. We are thrilled that Chuck will be returning for another year and taking on an expanded role as Property Manager for the facility. In this capacity, Chuck will help coordinate repairs, oversee maintenance projects, and ensure the house remains a safe and welcoming home for our brothers.
The House Corporation Board continues to grow and strengthen. We recently welcomed Alex Moran ’18 , Sam Lewis ‘19, and Evan Stegman ’17 as new House Corporation board members. Their willingness to serve is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to the perspectives and energy they will bring to our work. We are still actively recruiting a Treasurer and additional volunteers. If you are interested in serving on the House Corporation Board and supporting the future of Ohio Nu, please reach out to me at kbonomo@cptmoorehousingcorporation.com.
I’m also pleased with the progress we’ve made in improving alumni communications. Our first alumni newsletter was well received, and our new chapter website is now live. I encourage all alumni to visit www.ohiophipsi.org to stay connected, update their information, and keep up with chapter news and events.
Thank you to the nine donors who supported Ohio Nu during Founders Day of Giving, helping raise more than $700 for the chapter. Your generosity directly supports the undergraduate experience and strengthens our ability to provide opportunities for future generations of brothers.
Please save the date for November 14 and plan to join us in Athens for an Alumni Weekend. The day will include a House Corporation Board meeting, the opportunity to support the chapter during initiation activities, and a social gathering for alumni and undergraduates. We hope to welcome many brothers back to Athens for this special opportunity to reconnect and celebrate Ohio Nu.
Finally, summer maintenance projects are already underway as we prepare the facility for another successful academic year. Thank you for your continued support of Ohio Nu and the young men who call the chapter home.
In the Bond,
Keaton Bonomo ’16
